After almost two years of anticipation, BARUTI has released its newest creation – Perverso. The release was deliberately planned for 21st March which happens to be International Fragrance Day. Dedicated to all the good things in life, the perfume honours hedonism in its most delicious form. Its main goal is simple – to bring pleasure. The idea for the fragrance came to Spyros Drosopoulos several years ago and was inspired by the German phrase “pervers gut” used to indicate that one really loves a particular object, dish, or experience.
Perverso is a gourmand fragrance for people who do not enjoy the overwhelming sweetness associated with gourmands. Bold, dark and delicious, the perfume could be compared to a particularly decadent dessert. It features rum, roasted nuts, chocolate, caramel fudge, fig and tobacco. Once applied on the skin, it opens with a smokey accord of roasted nuts and boozy rum. It then begins to meld with the skin of the wearer revealing its dark chocolate heart.
The exclusive launch was celebrated in Amsterdam at Perfume Lounge. During the event, the attendees got a chance to ask Spyros all their most pressing perfumery questions, be the first ones to purchase the Perverso and enjoy an array of delicious bites. The highlight of the evening? No celebration of hedonism would be complete without oysters! Fresh oysters were served throughout the evening along with champagne and chocolate strawberries.
BARUTI Perverso Extrait de Parfum is available worldwide in niche perfumery boutiques as of 21st March 2019.
